The 40 Day Journey of Faith and Fitness
The 40 Day Journey of Faith and Fitness
We are called to honor God in everything we do (Colossians 3:17). But when it comes to our physical well-being, many believers struggle to find the right balance between our faith and fitness. Does any of this sound familiar?
We chose 40 days on purpose. In scripture - the number 40 has incredible significance. Here are just a few examples:
- The Great Flood lasted 40 days.
- Moses fasted for 40 days before he received the law.
- Manna rained down on the Israelites for 40 days and 40 nights.
- Jesus fasted for 40 days in preparation for his public ministry.
- For humans, from conception to birth is typically 40 weeks.
It's long enough to allow for bold changes - but short enough that it doesn't feel overwhelming to take on.
So, for 40 days, you will invite God into this journey by choosing at least one thing to improve in each of these areas:
Each person will have a unique plan - for more info on planning your fight click the link below. This challenge is best done with at least one trusted person - or a team. For more info on planning your fight click below.
After you've prayed and defined your parameters, take a look at your calendar. Share your plan with others, ask for input and support, and choose your start date and end date.
It may be easy to do this for a few days. Seeing it through for all 40 days is where the challenge gets real. You can do this! Sign up below and get a free planning worksheet
